PEIMS FHSP Overrides

Menu path: From the Registration menu, choose Entry & Reports, choose Student District Defined, and then select FHSP Overrides.

This page is used to manage and override student graduation plan details under the Foundation High School Program (FHSP). This page allows for manual adjustments to student endorsements and achievement levels as needed for accurate reporting and compliance.

Overrides may be necessary due to course substitutions, transfer credits, or administrative corrections. You should ensure that students meet all state graduation requirements before applying for any overrides.

You can select one of the values for each of the following fields:

  • 0 - Not Participating

  • 1 - Participating

  • 2 - Completed

Description

Foundation High School Plan

Select if the student is pursuing the Foundation High School Program (FHSP) that determines the base graduation requirements.

FHSP Dist. Lvl of Achvmnt

Select if the student is pursuing the Distinguished Level of Achievement program, which is required for automatic admission under Texas’ Top 10% Rule. This designation requires completion of Algebra II and at least one endorsement.

Implemented changes based on the FHSP override for Distinguished Level Achievement Graduate (E3089) by setting the values to 0 for both participating and non-participating statuses, and to 1 for completed statuses indicating the student has successfully completed the distinguished level of achievement as provided by TEC §28.025 (b-15) or TEC §28.0253.

STEM Endorsement

Select if the student is pursuing advanced coursework in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Requires completion of Algebra II, Chemistry, and Physics.

Business and Industry Endorsement

Select if the student is pursuing pathways in finance, marketing, agriculture, IT, and construction. Requires completion of a coherent sequence of courses in the Business and Industry cluster.

Public Service Endorsement

Select if the student is pursuing coursework in education, healthcare, government, or law enforcement fields. Requires a specific sequence of courses in Public Services pathways.

Arts and Humanities Endorsement

Select if the student is pursuing coursework in fine arts, literature, history, or world languages. Requires a designated sequence of courses in visual arts, music, dance, or social sciences.

Multi-Disciplinary Endorsement

Select if the student is pursuing a variety of advanced academic courses across different subjects. Ensures students complete advanced coursework in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English.
