TELPAS TAKS STAAR Information Page

Menu path: From the Registration menu, choose Entry & Reports, choose Student District Defined, and then select TELPAS/TAKS/STAAR Information.

Enter values as needed to load into the student's TELPAS Precode file (Years in U. S. Schools and TELPAS Code), TAKS Precode file, and the STAAR 3-8 Precode file (Above Grade Level).

Create the precode files through the STAAR/TAKS/TELPAS Precode Report. From the Regulatory menu, choose Reports, choose Testing, and then select Student Registration and Attribution.

The Student Attribution File can generate for the TELPAS Assessment that only includes students with Student Attribution records with a subject code of TR (TELPAS Reading).

Fields	Description
Years in U. S. Schools	Enter the number of years the student has been registered in a U. S. school. This field applies to the TELPAS Precode file.
TELPAS Code	Choose the TELPAS Precode.
Above Grade Level	Choose the grade level above the student's current grade. For instance, if the student is in the sixth grade but taking the seventh-grade mathematics assessment, select 07 in this field. This field applies to the STAAR 3-8 Precode file. Use it to indicate when the student tests above grade level for a specific subject.
STAAR EOC Test Ver fields	Enter the version for the following STAAR EOC tests: Algebra I Biology English I and II US History
STAAR EOC Test Format fields	Enter the format for the following STAAR EOC tests: Algebra I Biology English I and II US History
SIFE Code	Select to include the Students with Interrupted Formal Education (SIFE) Code for the TELPAS test file.
STAAR Test Ver fields	Enter the version for the following STAAR subjects: Reading Math Science Social Studies Writing
STAAR Test Grp Name fields	Enter the online test group name for the following STAAR subject: Reading Math Science Social Studies Writing
Action Indicator	Choose the appropriate indicator if the student should be unregistered for test administration (D) or if the registration should be moved (M).
Test Code	Enter the test code for STAAR Alternate 2, TELPAS, and TAKS.
TELPAS Session Name	Enter the name for the TELPAS session, up to 20 characters.
Test Format fields	Select the format for the following tests: Reading Math Science Social Studies Writing
Test Version Code fields	If applicable, select the accommodation test version code for the following tests: Reading Math Science Social Studies Writing
Online Test Group Name fields	Enter the online test group name for the following tests: Reading Math Science Social Studies Writing
Retester Indicator-MA	No data is reported. Use only for STAAR grades 5 and 8 retest administrations.
Retester Indicator-RE	No data is reported. Use only for STAAR grades 5 and 8 retest administrations.
Online Test Language fields	If applicable, select the accommodation test language code for the following tests: Reading Math Science Writing
TX-Unique-Staff-ID fields	Enter the Texas ID code for the subject-specific lead teacher for the following tests: Reading Math Science Social Studies Writing EOC For the EOC ID: It applies to EOC and STAAR Alt EOC assessments. The Unique ID of the teacher for the EOC section to which the EOC or STAAR Alt EOC assessment is assigned reports. When you manually assign EOC and STAAR Alt EOC assessments to the student, no data reports for the unique ID.
STAAR Alternate	Select if the student is taking STAAR Alternate tests. Students with STAAR Alternate for any STAAR 3-8 Alternate Assessments generate in the yearly Student Registration File with the STAAR Alternate column having a value of Y or N.
TELPAS Alternate	Select if the student is taking TELPAS Alternate tests.
Above Grade fields	Select the grade level above the student's current grade for the following subjects: Reading Math Science Social Studies For instance, if the student is in the sixth grade but taking the seventh-grade mathematics assessment, select 07.

The following values report accommodations and vary by subject and grade.
