Medical Screenings

The medical screening reports use exam and referral information to calculate the totals for the district.

When running the following reports, select all buildings to generate district-level totals.

Texas Hearing Screening Report

  1. Navigate to the Hearing page.
  2. Enter the exam results and create referrals for students who require specialist exams.
  3. Enter a follow-up date and follow-up code for the referral.
  4. To report a student as Transferred, update the referral and choose the code your district has defined for transfers.

Texas Vision Screening Report

  1. Navigate to the Vision page.
  2. Enter the exam results and create referrals for students who require specialist exams:
    • In the Lens field, choose the appropriate code to identify screened students who wear glasses.
    • For failed results, choose a failing status or enter the Snellen results your district has defined as failing.
  3. Enter a follow-up date and follow-up code for the referral.
  4. To report a student as Transferred, update the referral and choose the code your district has defined for transfers.

Texas Spinal Screening Report

  1. Navigate to the Scoliosis page.
  2. Enter the exam results and create referrals for students who require specialist exams.
  3. Enter a follow-up date and follow-up code for the referral.
    • In the Follow-Up field, enter the diagnosis from the specialist exam. Your district has identified the types of follow-up that indicate the diagnoses (for example, Normal, Scoliosis, or Kyphosis) for spinal exams.
    • In the Treatment field, enter the appropriate treatment code (for example, Operation/Surgery, Orthosis Bracing, or Observation).
  4. To report a previously treated student, enter a medical alert for Scoliosis on the Emergency page.
