PowerSchool SIS: Support for ADSY Reporting via Staff Section in DEX

Versions:

  • Staff Demographics: 25.8.4.0

  • Staff Sections: 25.8.4.0

  • Organization Schedules: 25.8.4.0

You can now report Additional Days School Year (ADSY) data through Staff Section resources, aligning with Ed-Fi model requirements for Texas state reporting.

To generate Staff Section records for ADSY:

  • Set up section records for ADSY courses.

  • Include course number and section in Staff Responsibility records.

  • Set the ADSY indicator to Yes.

The system auto-generates Staff Section records with classroom positions based on role:

  • Role ID 047 → Substitute Teacher

  • Role ID 087 + Co-teacher → Assistant Teacher

  • Role ID 087 + Class Observer → Support Teacher

  • Role ID 087 + other roles → Teacher of Record

Ensure:

  • Sections use the full-year term and have at least one enrolled student.

  • Staff Responsibility records need to be created Manually and should include all required fields: school, year, section, service ID, ADSY indicator, role ID, class type, population served, grade level, and number of students.

eSchoolPlus: Course Transcript Extensions

We have updated the transcript publishing process to include Summer Semester courses. This ensures that summer course transcripts and related student academic records are published correctly, alongside regular school-year records. With this update, schools can now publish summer term data smoothly without affecting existing records. Additionally, summer school buildings must have equivalent calendar data set up, and TX_415 records must exist for both students and courses to ensure publishing completes without dependency errors.
