PowerSchool SIS: Calendar Date Updates

The CalendarDates resource has been updated to account for CALENDAR-WAIVER-EVENT-TYPE values of "02" (Missed School Waiver Day) and "04" (Low Attendance Waiver Day).

Key Changes:

• When the waiver event type is "02" or "04", the following fields

  will not be included in the DEX JSON output:

  • SchoolDayInstructionalMinutes

  • SchoolDayOperationalMinutes

• For all other event types, these values will be reported as usual.

eSchoolPlus: Number of bullying Incidents and Number of Cyberbullying Incidents

The Number Of Bullying Incidents and Number Of Cyber bullying Incidents fields will pull from the override value on the DD screen if it exists; otherwise, they will use the calculated value.
The Number Of Bullying Incidents override value should include the Number Of Cyberbullying Incidents and the value should always be greater than or equal to Number Of Cyber bullying Incidents for a building.

The Texas PEIMS reporting system now correctly identifies the Economic Disadvantaged status for withdrawn students. This update resolves Special Warning 40100-0220, which previously appeared when submitting data for students who were correctly marked as Migrant but no longer retained an Economic Disadvantaged status after withdrawal.

A new configuration setting Publish Staff For Discipline is introduced, which is now available under the Settings page. By default, the setting is turned off, which excludes the staff reference and eliminates the related error.

PowerSchool SIS: Update to Student Demographics Resource

The Student Demographics resource has been updated to address an issue where students who graduated mid-year were incorrectly reported with an FHSP Participation code of (0) "Student is not pursuing or participating." Now, students with a value of (1) "Student is pursuing or participating" or (2) "Student has completed" are correctly reported as FHSPParticipant = TRUE.

Additionally, the logic has been enhanced to ensure that if FHSPParticipant is FALSE or left blank, the related fields-FHSPDistingLevelParticipant, EndorsementPursuing, and EndorsementCompleted will no longer be reported.

PowerSchool SIS: Update to Pre-K StudentCharacteristic Values for Current Year Students

Texas Data Exchange now correctly manages StudentCharacteristic values for current-year students. Previously, some students who were in Pre-K two years ago were incorrectly reported with a StudentCharacteristic value of 11 in the current year, resulting in fatal errors during state reporting. The system now accurately applies year-specific characteristics only to their relevant school year.
