Habitual Truant Report

Selecting this option will allow you to produce a comma-delimited file with a total number of truants per building for your District. You can also create a Verification Report to see what students make up the totals prior to submitting to the State.
Habitual Truant Report Prerequisites
- The Attendance Day Totals Calculation must be run prior to running this report.
- Users who need to run this report must have the MD/REPORTS/HABIT security resource.
- If you are selecting more than one building, all buildings must have the same Attendance View set up. The Attendance Views can calculate differently but must have the same View Type code. See the Attendance Views for Maryland State Reporting section of this documentation for more information.
Habitual Truant Report Prompts
Field | Description |

Building List | Select All to include all buildings or select one or more buildings using the dropdown. Only buildings with a value in the State Code Equivalency field will be reported (Administration > Registration Setup > Building > Building Definition > Preferences panel). |
View Type | Select the Attendance View that you want to use to determine what students are habitually truant. |
Absence Codes | Select the Attendance Codes that should be counted as truant absences for the report. This is the converted Attendance Code from the Attendance View. |
Date Range | These dates identify the start and end for the selection of entry/withdrawal dates of the students to be included in the report. |
Verification Report | Checked to generate the MD Habitual Truant Verification Report. The verification report is generated in .csv format listing the students for each building that have been included in the count of Habitual Truants. The file includes Building, Student ID, Student Last Name, Student First Name, Grade, Absences for the date range entered and Membership Days for the date ranged entered. |
If you select All or multiple buildings, all buildings must have an Attendance View that matches the one you select in the View Type field.
