Prepare for TREx
Before you can export student data, you must complete all required setups to specify how data should be exported. Refer to the appropriate sections of the Setting up eSchoolPlus for Texas State Reporting chapter for more information.
- Define the TREx Export Configuration for the district. For more information, refer to TREx District Export Configuration.
- Define the TREx Assessment Configuration for the district. For more information, refer to TREx Assessments Configuration.
- Define the TREx Building Export Configuration for all buildings for which you need to export data. For more information, refer to TREx Building Export Configuration.
- Define the Texas GPA by Year for all buildings for which you export GPA data. For more information, refer to Texas GPA By Year.
- Define the Texas Sessions for all buildings for which you export course mark data. For more information, refer to Texas Session Type.
- Verify that state code equivalencies have been entered for the following:
- District. For more information, refer to District Configuration.
- Building. For more information, refer to Building Definition.
- Grades. For more information, refer to Grades.
- Verify that state code equivalencies have been entered for the following validation tables:
- Registration
- Departments
- Grades
- Meal Status
- Races
- Withdrawals
- Medical Records
- Vaccinations
- Discipline
- Incident/Offense Codes
- Offense Actions
- Registration
- Complete the PEIMS Course page for courses. For more information, refer to PEIMS Course Page.
- Use the Course Type field to select the explanation code to submit for the SPECIAL-EXPLANTION-CODE.
- Enter the Sequence value to identify which portion of a course is being reported if a course is more than one semester long.
- Refer to the Mark Reporting Setup section for guidance on how to set up mark reporting to report course marks. Note that TREx allows the GPA to be reported for report card run, term, or year based on how your district calculates GPA; a yearlong GPA is not required as it is for Texas Transcripts.
