Scheduling Setup

On this page:

To report 090, 300, 305, and 415 records, all students must have a schedule and receive at least a final mark on report cards. For information on scheduling for elementary school buildings that your district has not scheduled in the past, refer to Guidelines to Schedule Elementary Schools.

In addition, the 090, 300, and 305 requirements affect how teacher assignments are entered for courses. Use the Master Schedule and the Staff Date Tracking pages to enter assignments.

Require Course Staff Date Range Entry

Select if staff assignments for course-sections require date ranges. If date range records exist for the school year you have selected in your environment settings, you cannot clear this field.

When you work in a future year environment, clear this field so users can assign staff members without being required to enter date ranges for the next school year. When you start tracking changes to staff assignments, run the Generate Course Staff Date Tracking Data option to create the required staff date tracking records for the course-sections.

If you want to clear this field in a future year environment, run the Generate Course Staff Date Tracking Data option to delete all existing records for the school year.

If the building has semester courses that report as one state course, the first semester course should not include the final mark. The second semester course should include the final mark.

You cannot average once-per-year marks from multiple courses to calculate a state final average.
