Gradebook Scores - Turned In

The Gradebook Scores Turned In feature helps Teachers to indicate that an assignment has been turned in but just not yet scored. For assignments that require time to score (for example, term papers, and final exams), it is hard for a parent to be sure that it was turned in. This ensures that a teacher enters marks within a reasonable amount of time after the due date to ensure parents and students have that timely feedback in the gradebook. The Gradebook Alpha Marks page is modified to provide a way to indicate if each mark should be considered “Not Turned In”, “Turned In, Not Scored”, or “Turned In and Scored”.

A new option has been added to the TAC Building Configuration to allow Teachers to mark an assignment as Turned In. If that option is turned off, then the ability to display that information in HAC will also be automatically disabled in the HAC Building Configuration.

  • The TAC Student Drawer will now include the Turned In flag on the Classwork tab to indicate if a student assignment has been turned in, whether grouped by Class or Date. The TAC Student Drawer will now include assignments in the Missing Assignments section with alpha marks that indicate an assignment was not turned in.

  • The TAC View Score History dialog window will now include the Turned In flag to indicate if a student assignment has been turned in.

  • The TAC Gradebook Student Detail report will have a new column to indicate if each assignment was turned in. If an assignment is scored with an alpha mark that is flagged as “Exclude”, “Turned In, Not Scored” or “Not Turned In” in the Gradebook Alpha Marks table, the Weighted Score, Average Score, and Percentage columns will be blank. For assignments that have no score entered yet, the Average Score column will be changed to display blank instead of 0%.

  • The TAC Printable Gradebook report will now include the Turned In flag to indicate if a student assignment has been turned in.

A new option will be added to the HAC Building Configuration to specify if the Turned In information should be displayed in HAC. The HAC Classwork section will now display a new Turned In column, whether grouped by Class or Date. The page will also now display alpha mark descriptions instead of just the alpha mark. HAC will be modified to show the code and description for alpha marks instead of the code in the HAC Assignments dialog window when clicking on a grade on the Report Card or Week View pages.

The eSchoolPlus Classwork page will now display whether or not an assignment has been turned in, if enabled. If the use of the Turned In flag is enabled on the TAC Building Configuration page, that information will be displayed on the eSchoolPlus Classwork page.

A new Scores Missing Submission page has been added to the Gradebook Reports menu to enable an administrator to notify teachers about assignments that they have not entered scores on time for both course and competency assignments.

The Missing Submission Building Setup page will now also enable an administrator to set up recurring runs of the Gradebook Scores Missing Submission option.
