Child Accounting: Calendar Fact Unlawful Absence Template

The Unlawful Absence Download process calculates unlawful absence totals based on attendance codes that have the State Code Equivalent set to UA or 02. Currently, the calculation does not consider the State Groups selected on the Run screen.

Because of this existing behavior, the totals generated by the download may not reflect the State Group selections made during the run. Customers should be aware that the calculation is based on the configured State Code Equivalent values, rather than the State Groups selected when the process is executed.

Important Note when Running the Download

When the Unlawful Absence download begins, the system performs a preliminary cleanup step that removes previously downloaded records based on the run parameters. The table used to store unlawful absence data does not maintain State Group information, which means the cleanup process cannot filter records by State Group.

As a result, when the download is run multiple times with different State Group selections, the system will remove all previously downloaded records that match the other run parameters, regardless of which State Group those records were associated with in previous runs.

Customers should consider this behavior when running the download multiple times with varying State Group selections, as previous results may be removed and recalculated during subsequent runs.

PIMS Student Download (SPEC)

Resolved an issue in the PA PIMS Student Download (SPEC), where Special Education values were incorrectly reported due to improper date validation logic. The restrictive year-based logic has been removed, ensuring accurate calculation of SPEC values, particularly for scenarios where Special Education programs start after enrollment.
