eSchoolPlus 20.4.8.0 Release

The eSchoolPlus/Schoology API has been modified to enhance the security of the integration points where Schoology makes calls to this API.

This functionality will not be turned on by default. To take advantage of this enhanced security, new districts and districts that already have an existing integration with Schoology must enable the new integration. On the District Definition page in eSchoolPlus, enable the Schoology integration and save the configuration. When you save, a window displays the information that must be provided to the Schoology team to establish the integration using this enhanced security.

This functionality depends on corresponding changes being released in Schoology to allow the integration change to be enabled there.

Learning Locations in eSchoolPlus can be categorized by day as In School, Virtual/Synchronous, or Virtual/Asynchronous. For each calendar day, you can specify the student learning location codes that are using each location/method. Teachers and administrators can view the student's learning location for the day on select pages in eSchoolPlus and Teacher Access Center.

The following changes were made:

In School, Virtual/Synchronous, and Virtual/Asynchronous fields were added to the Calendar Day page.

• The Calendar Copy copies the learning location designations when copying calendar days.
• The Calendar Detail report lists the learning location designations for calendar days.
• The Mass Update Days utility supports the ability to update the learning locations for multiple calendar days. When the learning locations are updated, the utility replaces any existing learning location designations for the day.

Select eSchoolPlus and Teacher Access Center pages now display an indicator for the student's learning location for the day.

The Immunization Shot table, Override field has been removed from the student advanced search because the field is not used.

The Attendance Missing Submission Report was not running on the days specified in the scheduled run time. When there were two schedules, it would run twice every day. This has been resolved.

Quotes in the course name were causing the Conflict Matrix to not print. This has been resolved.

When modifying Entry/Withdrawal information, the incorrect absolutely linked program was sometimes being updated. This has been resolved.

If an excluded alpha mark was given to a student, the classwork average score on the eSchoolPlus Classwork page was calculating it as a zero instead of excluding it. This has been resolved.

The School Building endpoint in the eSchoolPlus/Schoology API will no longer return buildings that are marked as transfer buildings or out-of-district buildings in eSchoolPlus.

Users were only able to add a note for one student/per date. This has been resolved and users can now add a note per student/ per date.

Deleting a requirement code from a requirement group was leaving orphaned records in the database if a tag rule was associated with the requirement code. This has been resolved.

There was a spelling error on the HAC District Configuration page. This has been resolved.

HAC Impersonate for Guardians was failing when student access was disabled and guardian access was enabled. This has been resolved.

If a user had not used HAC before and had no passwords set up, then when they attempted to create a HAC login and password, an error would occur. This has been resolved.

When saving an incident Detail with an offense action code that was not linked to an attendance code in the validation table, the Attendance dialog box would still display. This has been resolved.

Added Offender Action data to the Discipline endpoint for vendors that use the eSchoolPlus endpoints of the Plus360 API.

Filtering on dateLastModified resulted in an error for OneRoster URLs. This has been resolved.

The values for the link type, table, and column fields are removed when the user clears the Set Back to Default Value checkbox and then selects Apply on the Program Setup page. This has been resolved.

A SQL deadlock situation was occurring when user search prompts were saved. This has been resolved.

The Staff District Defined and Plan Area District Defined screen setups required the same security resource to access the data as they did to change the screen definition. Created separate resources to control access to setting up the district-defined pages.

The existing resources REG-SETUP-STAFFDISTR and REG-SETUP-PLANAREAS will continue to control security for maintaining the data.

A script will insert the two new resources and add the resources to any users who currently have the existing resources listed above, so existing functionality will remain unchanged for those users. Districts will be able to revoke access to the setup pages if necessary.

The TAC Attendance Audit Report was showing an incorrect heading of "End of Day Teacher Status Report" when it was run for period attendance courses. This has been resolved.

When entering a Tardy time equal to the same time that the course starts, a non-descriptive error message displayed. The software now displays a descriptive error that tells the user the exact problem.
