Add Unassigned Reasons to Plans

Use the Unassigned Reasons window to assign reasons to a student's success plan. For additional information, refer to Success Plan Detail Page.

Add unassigned reasons to existing plans

  1. Select Interventions > All > Student > Student Success Plans to display the Student Success Plans page.
  2. If the Student Search Page displays, search for the appropriate student, then click the student's name link.
  3. On the Student Success Plans page, indicate in the Selections panel's View field whether to display incomplete plans only or the student's entire plan history, then select the Data checkboxes of the panels to display.
  4. In the Plan field of the appropriate panel, click the plan's link to display the Success Plan Detail page.
  5. On the Success Plan Detail page's View Options panel, select the Reasons checkbox to display the page's Reasons panel.
  6. On the Reasons panel, click Add to display the Unassigned Reasons window.
    If you have made any additions or changes to the student's plan, you first must save your entries by clicking Save.
  7. In the Unassigned Reasons window, select the Select checkbox for each reason you want to add to the student's plan.
  8. As needed, select the Use Template checkbox to apply the default settings from the reason's template to the student's plan. The checkbox only displays if the reason has a template set up for it.
  9. Click OK to close the window.
  10. Click Save.

Checked if the reason should be added to the student's success plan.

Use Template

Checked if the default settings from the template associated with the reason should be applied to the student's success plan.

The default settings can include core interventions, student goals and objectives, and parent goals and objectives that should be added when a success plan is created. You can modify these defaults as needed to personalize the plan to the student's specific needs.

The checkbox only displays if the reason has a template set up for it. For more information, refer to Reason Template Page.

Reason

Code and description identifying the reason the student qualified for, as determined by a calculation in either Attendance, Behavior, Progress Reports, Report Cards, or Testing.

Qualification

Indicates the at risk qualification criteria the student has met, as determined by a calculation in either Attendance, Behavior, Progress Reports, Report Cards, or Testing.

Start Date

Indicates the date or duration (for example, the Marking Period or Semester) for the start of the reason.
