Use this page to list the types of course attendance information you want to store for mark reporting, such as excused absences, unexcused absences, or tardies. A course absence type for report cards may be issued once per year or each marking period. You can also set up absence types for progress reports.
You can run calculations to calculate the totals for absences types based on Attendance information or allow teachers to enter attendance totals in TAC. Additionally, you can define an absence type to display a year-to-date total that is calculated by summing the attendance totals entered for each marking period.
If the detail page displays for a building other than the one you want, use Search to select another building.
If a search page displays, select the building.
Enter the yearly absence type in the blank row at the bottom of the RC Course Absence Types Issued Once Per Year panel. Leave the Valid Absence Codes field blank.
Enter the marking period absence type to include in the yearly total in the blank row at the bottom of the RC Course Absence Types Issued Multiple Times Per Year panel.

Order
Specifies the order that absence types are listed on mark reporting pages where attendance totals can be entered. Some pages show both yearly and multiple times per year absence types in the same area so the order values must be unique within these two panels. Note that the Report Card View Setup determines the order that absence types are listed on the Report Card Summary and report cards.
