OR OPTE Information
You can access the OR OPTE Information pages for Course and Course-Section in the following ways:

If your district uses a District Course Catalog, use this option to define district-level default values you can then apply to your building-level Course Catalogs.
- Menu path: Select Scheduling from the main menu, select Courses submenu, select Building Courses, and then select OR OPTE Information. Use this option to define default values at the building Course Catalog level for the OR OPTE Information course district-defined page. These default values are used when you add OR OPTE Information for course-sections in the Master Schedule.
- Menu path: Select Scheduling from the main menu, select Courses submenu, select Course Sections, and then select OR OPTE Information. The OR OPTE Information page by default includes the course-section information from the course catalog record. You can add or update the values in the prompts in this page. These values are used to determine settings in the OPTE, Staff Assignment, and IUID Collections. You can add or update values in the prompts to specify the information required for collections.
Every course-section needs an OR OPTE Information record at the Master Schedule level. This is where the course-section IUID is stored. You can use the OR IUID Utility to load IUIDs received from ODE into eSchoolPlus only if a course-section has the IUID field available. If you need to add the OR OPTE Information page for a group of courses, refer to the Mass Updating OR OPTE Information section.

Mass Updating OR OPTE Information
Menu path: Select Scheduling from the main menu, select Utilities submenu, select Setup Mass Updates, and then select Master Schedule Mass Update.
When you create your Master Schedule for a new year, you also need to add an OPTE Information course district-defined record for each course-section. This is where the course's IUID is stored, so it is a record that needs to exist for a course-section before you receive IUIDs from ODE and attempt to upload them into eSchoolPlus. Without saved OPTE Information records, the OR IUID Utility will not be able to save IUIDs from the state file.
District-defined records are not automatically added when you create your Master Schedule course-sections. However, you can use the following Mass Update procedure to add the OPTE Information records.
Use this procedure after you create the initial Master Schedule for a building. As you add individual course-sections after initial scheduling, make sure to manually save an OPTE Information record at the Master Schedule level for each new course.
To mass add OR OPTE Information pages for course-sections, refer to the eSchoolPlus Online Help for details about the page's operation.
- Select Scheduling from the main menu, select Utilities submenu, select Setup Mass Updates, and then select Master Schedule Mass Update.
On the Prompts panel enter rows for the values to be updated.

- On the Filter panel, enter criteria to select all course-sections for a specific building. For example, Area: Master Schedule Field Name: Building Condition: = (equals) Value: 112.
- Click Load records to populate the Records To Be Updated panel.
- Review the Records To Be Updated list. If there are any courses you want to exclude from processing, select the associated checkbox in the first column.
- Click Run to create the OR OPTE Information page for the selected course-sections. The IUID field is now available to update through the OR IUID Utility when you receive your state file.
- Repeat this procedure for remaining buildings in your district.
