Schedule Study Halls for a Student

Use the Schedule Study Halls option on the Schedule Entry page to fill in empty periods with study halls. After running the option for a student, review the Study Hall Scheduler Log for the results.

To schedule study halls for multiple students, use the Schedule Study Halls page (Scheduling > Student Schedules > Student Scheduler > Schedule Study Halls). For information, refer to Schedule Study Halls Page.

Note

If the student has a modeled schedule, you must click Keep to keep the schedule before using the Schedule Study Halls option. The process will run in a modeled state, but study halls will not be scheduled.

Schedule study halls

  1. Select Scheduling > Student Schedules > Student > Schedule Entry.
  2. If the Student Search Page displays, search for the appropriate student, then click the student's name link.
  3. On the Schedule Entry page, click
     (Additional options), then select Schedule Study Halls.
  4. In the Schedule Study Halls window's Date Study Halls Added field, enter a date for adding the study halls.
  5. Click Fill.
  6. Use the Tasks/Reports options on the Navigation bar to view task status and retrieve reports.

Clear study halls

To clear study halls from one or more periods that were filled by the Schedule Study Halls option, complete the following procedure:

  1. Select Scheduling > Student Schedules > Student > Schedule Entry.
  2. If the Student Search Page displays, search for the appropriate student, then click the student's name link.
  3. On the Schedule Entry page's Schedule List panel, select the checkbox in the unlabeled column on the left side for each study hall you want to clear.
  4. Click
     (Additional options) on the Schedule List panel, then select Clear.
  5. When you change a student's schedule, eSchoolPlus creates a modeled schedule and displays an alert at the top of the Schedule List panel with Keep and Discard options.
    • To keep the modeled schedule and replace the student's current schedule, click Keep.
    • To return to the student's current schedule and discard your changes, click Discard.
