District-Level Discipline Setup

Complete the following setup at the district level to facilitate discipline entry related to School Safety and the Educational Climate (SSEC) reporting:

  • Verify the Discipline District Setup has the Track Occurrences box not selected, and the Multiple Offenses box selected (menu path: Select Administration from the main menu, select System Setup submenu, select District, and then select Discipline).

  • When Track Occurrences is OFF:

    • Scheduled Start Date is stored in the DISC_OFF_ACTION table.

    • The main query looks at this field

  • When Track Occurrences is ON:

    • Data is stored in the DISC_OCCURRENCE table.

    • The system does not currently look at the Scheduled Date from this table.

  • Verify you have set up the four district-defined fields described in the following section: District Defined Field Setup Incident and Building.

  • On the NY SSEC Setup district-level district-defined page, verify you mapped the correct district-defined page and field for each of the four SSEC report data points listed.
