District-Defined Field Setup Incident and Building
Menu path: Select Administration from the main menu, select General Setup submenu, select District, and then select District Defined: Incident Screen Type.

Several fields in the SSEC report require you to set up district-defined fields for tracking the following information:
- Whether a discipline incident involved a bias-related offense against DASA (Dignity for All Students) characteristics.
- Whether a discipline incident took place outside regular school hours.
- Whether a discipline incident involved a violent act toward a victim.
- Whether a reporting school has a police officer or safety resource on a regularly scheduled basis.
To set up the incident-level fields:
- Select Administration from the main menu, select General Setup submenu, select District, and then select District Defined: Incident Screen Type.
- Add and save a new incident-level district-defined page for tracking SSEC Report information. Refer to the base eSchoolPlus online help, District-Defined Screen Setup topic.
- Access the Screen Detail page for the incident district-defined page you added.
- On the Field Definitions tab, click the New Field button.
- Add a field for each of the three incident-level settings described above.
- As the Field Type, select C – Checkbox.
- For Default Value, select N – Unchecked.
- For tips on field labels, you can refer to the NY SSEC Setup section that follows.
- Once you set up the page and fields, use the NY SSEC Setup district-level district-defined page to assign the incident screen and field numbers the NY SSEC report will use to track each of the incident settings.
To set up the building-level field, follow the same basic steps using (menu path: Select Administration from the main menu, select General Setup submenu, select District, and then select District Defined: Building Screen Type). Do this for the Police Officer Present setting.
