WA FTE Exclusion Minutes

You can use this page to indicate other minutes in a cycle day/period that should be excluded from the FTE Calculation. For example, if your district does not have a distinct period for lunch that students are scheduled into and the lunch break is part of a different scheduled course, you must enter values in this table so that the Student FTE Calculation knows how much time to ignore in what periods on each cycle day.
You may have more than one period for a given cycle day, but you may not have two entries on this page with the same cycle day and period combination. The table below illustrates this.

Column | Description |
|---|---|
Cycle Day | Enter the cycle day. You should only enter a cycle day ONE TIME in this list. |
Lunch Period | Enter the period that the non-scheduled lunch occurs. |
Lunch Minutes | Enter the number of minutes reserved for lunch in this period. The system will subtract these minutes from courses scheduled for students in this period for the FTE calculation. |
