Staff Date Tracking

Scheduling > Courses > Course Sections > Master Schedule > click Primary Staff or Secondary Staff link to add, update, or view Staff Date Tracking information for a course-section session.
Course-sections in your Master Schedule need Staff Date Tracking records containing the Start Date and End Date (if applicable) information reported in the CEDARS Staff Schedule (G) file. You can update Staff Date Tracking in the following ways:

  • Create Staff Date Tracking information for a group of course-sections at once with the Generate Course Staff Date Tracking Data (Utilities > Generate Course Staff Date Tracking Data). Refer to the eSchoolPLUS online help for detailed procedures.
  • Update a single course-section using the Primary Staff and Secondary Staff links on the Master Schedule Course Information page (Scheduling > Courses > Course Sections > Master Schedule).

Updating Staff Date Tracking for a Course-Section

To update Staff Date Tracking for a single course-section:

  1. Select Scheduling > Courses > Course Sections > Master Schedule.
  2. If this is a new record, add course-section and session information, then Save.
    • If this is an existing record, proceed to Step 3.
  3. In the Master Schedule Session Information section, click the Primary Staff link.
  4. In the Staff Date Tracking page, update information for the primary teacher responsible for the course:
    • Staff – Select the Staff ID for the primary teacher. You can add multiple rows if there is a change in teacher at any point.
    • Start Date – Date when the staff member started service for the course-section. The course start date defaults in the first row.
    • End Date – Date when the staff member ended service for the course-section. You can leave this blank if the teacher served through the end of the course.
    • Teacher Indicator – Type of role the teacher performs in the course. This is reported in the Staff Schedule (G) file.
  5. In the Staff Date Tracking page, click Save.
  6. If the course-section has additional staff, click the Secondary Staff link.
  7. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to save the Secondary Staff information.
