FTE Override_Maximum Utility

You should use this Utility to mass update groups of students who should have the same FTE values and for whom the calculation will not work properly. Also use this option to mass update student Running Start, Alternative Learning Environment, and Open Doors [1418] program settings as needed. These settings also apply to FTE calculations. Note that this utility's processing only affects students with Current Year Status of Active on the Registration Information page.
Generally you will use this for your Kindergarten students. You should run the process twice, once for half-day kindergarten students and once for full day kindergarten students.
Field | Description |

School Year | Enter the school year that you want to override FTE values for. |
Reporting Month | Select the month for which that you want to override FTE. |
Update Fields | Select which values you want to update: FTE Override, FTE Maximum, Open Door, Work Based Learning, Running Start, or ALE. |
FTE Override | If you select Update FTE Override, enter the value for the Override field here. |
FTE Override Reason | If you select Update FTE Override, enter the reason for the Override here. |
FTE Maximum | If you select Update FTE Maximum, enter the value for the Maximum field here. |
Open Door Instructional Hours | If you select Update Open Door, enter the Open Doors program instructional hours to use as the basis for the reporting period's Open Doors FTE calculation. |
Open Door Vocational | If you select Update Open Door, select whether Open Doors students should have their hours counted in the vocational FTE category. The checked setting indicates the hours count as vocational. |
Vocational Independent WBL | If you select Update Work Based Learning, you can enter a value for Vocational Independent WBL. |
Vocational Cooperative WBL | If you select Update Work Based Learning, you can enter a value for Vocational Cooperative WBL. |
Skill Center Independent WBL | If you select Update Work Based Learning, you can enter a value for Skill Center Independent WBL. |
Skill Center Cooperative WBL | If you select Update Work Based Learning, you can enter a value for Skill Center Cooperative WBL. |
College Campus Running Start Non-Voc FTE | If you select Update Running Start, you can enter an FTE value for non-vocational Running Start FTE in the college campus setting. |
College Campus Running Start Voc FTE | If you select Update Running Start, you can enter an FTE value for vocational Running Start FTE in the college campus setting. |
College Running Start | If you select Update Running Start, select whether students should be identified as College Running Start Only for the P-223 Monthly report's Running Start headcount. |
Alternate Learning Environment | If you select Update ALE, select whether students should be identified as Alternative Learning Environment for inclusion in the ALE Reporting into SAFS headcount and FTE. |
ALE Program 1 through ALE Program 5 | If you select Update Running Start, you can enter FTE override values for any or all the five ALE Program codes. These values override FTE values calculated from student courses, and they are only referenced if the student takes a course where there is a corresponding ALE Program code. |
Clear Override/Maximum | If you want to clear the values you identified with your Update Fields selection, check this box. |
