Create CEDARS SSID Extract File

Regulatory > Utilities > Utilities > Create CEDARS SSID Extract File
Use this option to create an extract file containing students who do not have a State ID (SSID) assigned on the Student Personal page. Use the extract file to submit to CEDARS where you will then get SSIDs assigned for the students and download that information to a tab-delimited file. You use the file from CEDARS to update students in eSchoolPLUS with the State ID Upload option described in the next section.
To create the extract file:

  1. Fill out the following prompts:

School Year

Enter the four-digit school year to identify Entry/Withdrawal records the extract will assess. For instance, you would enter 2013 to run the extract for students in the 2012-2013 school year.

Building List

You may run the extract for all buildings in your district or for selected buildings.

As Of Date

Select the date the extract will use when assessing Entry/Withdrawal records to determine which student records to process. Students enrolled up to and including the selected date are processed.

  1. Use the Filter section to further limit students if needed.
  2. Use the Run Option section to determine when the extract file gets created.
  3. Click Run.
  4. The extract file is saved as WA_SSID_datetimestamp.txt.

The extract file layout is as follows:

  • To determine this field, the extract first looks to see if the student has an Entry Code matching one of the District Entry Codes from the WA District district-defined page. If the student does not have one of these codes, the extract looks at the Registration page District Enrollment Date field. If that date is also blank, the extract finds the first date when the student was enrolled in the district.
