Master Schedule Collection Extracts

Menu path: Select Regulatory from the main menu, Virginia from the submenu, select Extract, and then select Master Schedule Collection (MSC).

Submission Type

Select the types of MSC extract files you want to create. Your selection determines the file types available in the Submission Prompts section and the filter options available:

  • All – allows you to create submission files for all record types. No filtering is available for this option.
  • Staff – lets you create the IPAL, Teacher, Provider, and Pupil Personnel submission files, or your choice among them. You can filter based on staff-related data.
  • Course – lets you create the Course, Teacher, Provider, and Student submission files, or your choice among them. You can filter based on course-related data.
  • Student – lets you create the Student submission file. You can filter based on student-related data.

School Year

Select the school year to use as the basis for the submission file extract.

Submission

Select the reporting period that applies to the file extract, 1 for the Fall Submission or 3 for the EOY Submission. The IPAL and Pupil Personnel records are disabled for the EOY Submission.

Extract Types

Select the submission files you want to process. Available record types depend on your selection in the Submission Type field. IPAL and Pupil Personnel are not available for 3 – EOY Submission.

The following are the available extract types:

  • MSC Interdisciplinary Connection (K)
  • MSC IPAL (B)
  • MSC Course (C)
  • MSC Teacher (D)
  • MSC Provider (E)
  • MSC Student (F)
  • MSC Pupil Personnel Record (G)
  • MSC Course Connections (I)
  • MSC Co-Op Counts (J)
