FieldsDescription
File Type

Select one of the following file types:

  • STAAR EOC
  • STAAR Grades 3-8
  • TELPAS

Note

When the selected file type is TELPAS, the following fields will be populated with values:

  • Years in US Schools
  • Parental Denial Code
  • Student with Interrupted Formal Education Code
  • Unschooled Asylee/Refugee Code

For file types, STAAR EOC or STAAR Grades 3-8, these fields will not be populated as they are only required for the TELPAS Registration file.

Building List

Select the codes of the buildings to include in the extract.

Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click Asterisk to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.

Print as of Date

Select the date to include students in the data file:

  • Today: to include students who were in the class today.
  • By Date: to include students who were in the class on the date selected in the calendar field.

A student is considered to be in the course on the date if:

  • The student is scheduled for the course on this date. If the course is dropped before the as of date or added after the date, the student will not be included.
  • The student has mark reporting records with a status of Non-Scheduled for the marking period associated with the as of date.

Note that this date is also used to select values to print for program-tracked fields.

Run RegistrationSelect to create the student registration file.
Run AttributionSelect to create the student attribution file.
Task/Report NameIf you want to rename the task and report file, change the text that displays in this field. If you use the / (slash) character, _ (underscore) will be used in the task and report name.

Note

Ensure at least one option is selected, that is, Run Registration or Run Attribution.

Student Attribution is sent periodically and has the assessment and any required accommodations for that assessment. Each student or assessment combination has its own record. For example, if a student qualifies for three assessments, they get three records, one for each assessment.

You will be able to filter the Student Registration and Attribution Report results by Academic, Demographic, Personal, Entry/Withdrawal, Master Schedule, Master Schedule Sessions, Staff Building, Staff District, and State Courses filter options.

Additional Information

The STAAR/TAKS/TELPAS Pre-code page used to generate STAAR EOC, STAAR Grades 3-8, TAKS, and TELPAS reports is renamed as Student Registration and Attribution.

The STAAR/TELPAS report Header names are updated in the output files and data lengths for unique staff ID fields were lowered from 20 characters to 10 characters to adhere to the 2020 TEA requirements.

For Course Category: In Student Schedule Entry, note the building and course number. In Building Course Catalog, find the building/course at the bottom of the page, note the state course number. In State Courses, search for the state course number and also note the course category.

For Campus of Accountability: The Home County District Campus field is based on campus of accountability setup and EOC test formats. To get the field:

  • The building must have the Account Campus for EOC Precode box selected on the PEIMS Building page for the students building (menu path: select Administration from the main menu, select Registration Setup submenu, select Building District Defined, and then select PEIMS Building).
  • The student must also have at least one EOC Test Format field set to O on the STAAR/TAKS/TELPAS Information page (Student user-defined page).
  • The student must also have the Campus ID of Accountability program (PEIMS Demographics) set and active on the as of date. This campus ID is generated in the Excel (CSV) report.
If any of these 3 conditions of the setup are not present, the field should be blank in the report for that student.

The ethnicity fields are determined by the race options set on the students personal page. The race codes are matched to the Ethnicity validation table to get the State Code Equiv values.

The students Economic Disadvantage program value is reported based on the as of date. The program code is matched to the State Code Equiv value of the Meal Status validation table.

The Unschooled Asylee/Refugee Code (BE-57) field will have a value of Y or N generated, if the student has a TELPAS program value or no program value in the TELPAS report.

The students marked with STAAR Alternate for any STAAR 3-8 Alternate Assessments will be generated in the yearly Student Registration File with the STAAR Alternate column having a value of Y or N.

The Student Attribution File can be generated for TELPAS Assessment that only includes students with Student Attribution record with Subject Code of TR (TELPAS Reading).

The Student Registration Report for STAAR EOC will include any student with a selection for December, Spring, or June EOC tests from the TELPAS/TAKS/STAAR Information page.
For Spring EOC tests, if a test selection was not made on the TELPAS/TAKS/STAAR Information page, the report will look at the student’s schedule and include any course that has a State Course set in the Course Catalog and the Course Category set on the State Course Detail page.
