Validation Tables

These tasks are completed on the Validation Tables Page. When you select the validation table to display, the bottom panel of the page displays the table's fields and records. Refer to the Validation Tables page topic for detailed information for each validation table.

For information on adding user-defined validation tables to the Validation Tables page, refer to User-Defined Validation Tables Procedures.

View validation table

  1. Select Administration > General Setup > District > Validation Tables.
  2. In the Selections panel's Application field, select the package for the validation table. Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click
    (asterisk) to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.
  3. In the Validation Table field, select the table. The valid codes for the table display in the panel below.

Add validation table records

  1. Select Administration > General Setup > District > Validation Tables
  2. In the Selections panel's Application field, select the package for the validation table. Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click
    (asterisk) to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.
  3. In the Validation Table field, select the table. The valid codes for the table display in the panel below.
  4. Complete fields in the blank row at the bottom.
  5. Click Save.

Change validation table records

  1. Select Administration > General Setup > District > Validation Tables
  2. In the Selections panel's Application field, select the package for the validation table. Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click
    (asterisk) to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.
  3. In the Validation Table field, select the table. The valid codes for the table display in the panel below.
  4. Change values as needed.
  5. Click Save.

Delete validation table records

You can only delete codes that are not in use.

  1. Select Administration > General Setup > District > Validation Tables
  2. In the Selections panel's Application field, select the package for the validation table. Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click
    (asterisk) to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.
  3. In the Validation Table field, select the table. The valid codes for the table display in the panel below.
  4. Select the
    (Delete) checkbox for each record to delete.
  5. Click Save.
