Test History Report

Use this option to generate a listing of information stored in the Test Score System, including student demographic information, student tracking information, and test score data. You can select to group information by test or by student. For example, depending on the options you select, you can print a full report of test score information for students; a list of students who took a specific test (including or excluding their test scores); or other combinations of demographic, tracking, and score data.

You may enter up to three lines of text, up to 75 characters per line, to print in the header of the report. For example, you may wish to include notes about the prompts selected to run the report.

Note

If you set up sorts or filters searching for scores, records will be sorted in character order, not in numeric order. Using the greater than or less than operators (<, >, <=, or >=) to filter scores may not return the results you expect. For example, if the values for a score were 1, 2, 3,...9,10 and you entered a condition of >=10, then the values 2, 3,...9,10 would meet your criteria because when the values are sorted as characters, the order is 1, 10, 2, 3,...9. Additionally, if you entered a condition of >=9, the value 10 will not meet the condition.

Run Test History report

Field

Description

Buildings

Select the building of the students to include in the report.

Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click

(asterisk) to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.

Group Students by Test

Determines the general order of data on the report.

Checked if you want the report to list data in order by test. For each test, the report will print all the students who had that test, and then print the next test. If checked, the label of the next box displays as "Page Break on Test."

Unchecked if you want the report to list data in order by student. For each student, the report will print all the tests for that student, and then print the next student. If unchecked, the label of the next box displays as "Page Break on Student."

Page Break on Test/Student

The label of this box changes depending on the option selected in the previous field (the "Group Students by Test" box).

Checked if you want to break the report for each test or student (the break type depends on the option selected in the previous prompt).

  • If the "Group Students by Test" box is checked, checking the "Page Break on Test" box will break the report for each test.
  • If the "Group Students by Test" box is unchecked, checking the "Page Break on Student" box will break the report for each student.

Include Only Tests/Students With Scores

Checked if you want to include only tests that have student records or students who have test records, respectively (the type of information included depends on the option selected in the "Group Students by Test" box).

  • If the "Group Students by Test" box is checked, checking the "Include Only Tests/Students With Scores" box will include only tests for which there are student test records.
  • If the "Group Students by Test" box is unchecked, checking the "Include Only Tests/Students with Scores" box will include only students who have test records.

Unchecked if you want to include all tests and students, regardless of whether there are corresponding student/test records entered. For example, if a subtest record has been created for a student, but no scores have been entered, this record will print with blank scores.

You can enter criteria to limit the students or tests included.

Caution
Running the report with this box unchecked will slow processing time greatly.

Include Inactive Students

Checked if you want to include testing information for students with an inactive status. The report will include both active and inactive students. Unchecked if you want to include testing information only for active students.

Note that preregistered students are never printed.

Log Statistics

Checked if you want to print the prompts in a log file. Otherwise, a log file will be created only if an error occurs.
