Simple Tally Page

This report summarizes the requests per course for selected groupings. For example, if you select Grade as the grouping, the report shows the number of requests per grade for each course. Besides the breakdown, the report includes course codes, descriptions, departments, and priorities, as well as the total requests per course.

The report will only include students whose next year building is the building you are processing. Students whose next-year building is different will not display on the report.

Description

Building

Building to include in the report.

Scheduling Interval

Select the scheduling interval for the course requests to include.

Grades

Select the grades for printing scheduling tallies.
Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click

Request Type

The type of requests to include.

Select:

A - All - to include all requests regardless of type.
R - Regular Requests Only - to indicate this is a regular request which the system should attempt to schedule before processing alternate requests.
S - Student Alternate Request - to indicate this is an alternate request that can be used when the system cannot schedule any regular request.
C - Student Course Alternate Request - to indicate this alternate request can only be used if the system is unable to schedule the course defined in the Alternate to field.

Group By

How the totals should be broken down for each course requested. Your selection determines the initial columns that display in the report. For example, selecting Gender displays F (Female) and M (Male) as the first two columns.

Select:

Classification - to display the total requests per course for each student classification. Up to nine classifications can be selected in the next field. If your district allows multiple classifications, the Simple Tally report displays the total requests based on the student's first classification value.
Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click

(asterisk) to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.
The options include records from Registration's Classifications validation table that have scheduling weights entered. The count for each classification represents the number of students, not their weight totals.
Discipline - to display the total requests per course broken down by the number of students who have behavior incidents and those who do not.
Federal Code - to display the total requests per course for each federal race code.
Gender - to display the total males and females who requested each course.

Hispanic - to display the number of requests per course for each of the selections for the Hispanic field in student's Demographic records: Yes, No, and Unanswered.
None - to only display the total requests per course.
Race - to display the total requests per course for each race code used in eSchoolPlus.

Log Statistics

Checked if you want to print the prompts in a log file. Otherwise, a log file will be created only if an error occurs.

Sort Panel

Use the Sort panel to specify how records should be ordered in a report. You enter lines of sort criteria; the system compares your sort criteria against the corresponding fields in the records being searched and displays records in either ascending or descending order based on the sort fields.
