Set up Attendance for Home Access

Your district can display students' attendance information in HAC. The data displays in HAC's Month View (Attendance) page and if specified, in the Week View page. In addition, you can allow guardians and students to subscribe to email alerts for attendance.

Allowing guardians and students to view attendance information

Home Access Center Building Configuration

Administration > HAC Setup > Setup > HAC Building Configuration > click Building link

For each building, check the following box as needed for guardians, students, or both in the Configuration panel's Days section.

  • Show Attendance

If your district plans to display attendance information in HAC's Week View page, also check the following boxes as needed in the Configuration panel's Week View section:

  • Show Week View
  • Show Attendance

Allowing email alerts for attendance

Home Access Center Building Configuration

Administration > HAC Setup > Setup > HAC Building Configuration > click Building link

For each building, in the Email Alerts panel's Attendance Alerts section:

  • Check the Send to Guardians and Send to Students boxes as needed.
  • If these fields are completed, guardians and students can indicate in HAC whether they want to receive the alerts and can specify the types of attendance for which alerts should be sent.Complete the Attendance Alerts section's additional fields to specify the frequency and content of the alerts.

Additional Requirements

  • In eSchoolPlus, define the colors assigned to attendance codes for the legend in the Attendance page's Month View tab (Administration > Attendance Setup > Setup > Attendance Codes > click
    at the top of the page, then select Code Colors).
