Mass Update Level Table

You can use a mass update tool to change level table information. This tool is helpful when you have many marks that need to be set to use the same value. Additionally, for numeric marks, the mass update includes an option to calculate the point value based on the numeric mark and to set the Average Using field to be equal to the mark. For field descriptions and other information about the level table, refer to Level Table Page.

Mass update level information

  1. Select Administration > Mark Reporting Setup > Setup > Level Table.
    • If a search page displays, select the building.
    • If the detail page displays for a building other than the one you want, use Search to select another building.
  2. In the Selection panel, set the Detail Type field to Level and select the level to mass update. Then click Load.
  3. In the Mark Information panel, click
     (Additional options) in the Mark Information panel and select Mass Update.
  4. Select the marks to update.
    • To select individual marks, select the checkbox next to the mark.
    • To select all marks, click Edit at the top of the Mark column. On the Mass Update Mark Selection window, select All. Then click OK.
    • To select a range of numeric marks, click Edit at the top of the Mark column. On the Mass Update Mark Selection window, select Mark. Enter the low and high numeric marks to include in the range and, then click OK.
  5. Select the field to update by clicking Edit at the top of the column. Then select the value to assign to selected marks. Click Apply.
    The Point Value and Average Using Value fields provide additional options for setting values. Refer to the tables that follow for more information on these options.
  6. Repeat Step 6 for each field to update.
  7. Click Save.

Point Value Options

To Set Point Value to:

Follow this procedure for Step 6 above:

Same value for all selected marks

  1. Click Edit at the top of the Point Value column.
  2. On the Update Point Value window, select Use this Point Value for all selected Marks.
  3. Enter the point value to assign.
  4. Click Apply.

Same As the Numeric Mark

To use this option, you must select only numeric marks.

  1. Click Edit at the top of the Point Value column.
  2. On the Update Point Value window, select Use Mark as Point Value.
  3. Click Apply.

Calculated Value Based on Numeric Mark

To use this option, you must select only numeric marks.

  1. Click Edit at the top of the Point Value column.
  2. On the Update Point Value window, select Calculate Point Value based on Mark. Then specify how the value should be calculated.
    • In the first field, select * (Times), + (Plus), - (Minus), or / (Divided By).
    • In the second field, enter the value to use to calculate the mark. For example, if you are dividing by 25, enter 25.
    • In the third field, enter the value to use to weight the point value. If the point value should not be weighted, enter 0 (Zero).
  3. Click Apply.

Average Using Value Options

To Set Average Using Value to:

Follow this procedure for Step 6 above:

Same value for all selected marks

  1. Click Edit at the top of the Average Using Value column.
  2. On the Update Average Using Value window, select Use this value for all selected Marks.
  3. Enter the value to assign.
  4. Click Apply.

Same As the Numeric Mark

To use this option, you must select only numeric marks.

  1. Click Edit at the top of the Average Using Value column.
  2. On the Update Average Using Value window, select Use Mark as Value.
  3. Click Apply.
