Discipline (Behavior) Validation Tables
Action Outcome
Defines the types of action outcomes for your district. Validates the Outcome Code field on the Actions tab of the Offender Detail screen. This field may be used by state reporting.

Incident Categories
Defines the types of incident categories that an incident can fall under; for example Racially Motivated or Insubordinate. Validates the Category field under the Offenses tab on the Offender Detail page, as well as the Category field on the Incident Summary and Incident Detail pages.

Incident/Offense Codes
Defines the incident codes for your district; for example Theft or Assault. Validates the Incident Code field on the Incident Detail and Incident Summary pages, as well as the Incident field on the Offender, Victim, and Witness Detail pages.

Minimum Action Level | Holds the minimum level number to determine appropriate actions for a specific incident. When an action is entered for a student, the action level will be compared to the range entered here. A warning is issued for actions outside of the range. A warning message displays if the user selects an action that is not appropriate for the incident/offense based on the level assigned to the incident/offense code and the level assigned to the action. If the district has selected to enforce action levels, a user will not be able to select an action that is not in the specified range for the incident/offense unless the user has the Override Discipline Offense Level security. | Small Integer |
Maximum Action Level | Holds the maximum level number to determine appropriate actions for a specific incident. | Small Integer |

Level | Indicates the severity level of this action. When an action is entered for a student, the action level here will be compared to the range entered for the Incident Code for the incident. A warning is issued for actions outside of the range. A warning message displays if the user selects an action that is not appropriate for the incident/offense based on the level assigned to the incident/offense code and the level assigned to the action. If the district has selected to enforce action levels, a user will not be able to select an action that is not in the specified range for the incident/offense unless the user has the Override Discipline Offense Level security. Attendance Code | The attendance code to associate with this behavioral action. The code will be used for offensive actions that affect a student's attendance, such as detentions and suspensions. You can only assign codes that are used district-wide, that is, codes that are not associated with specific buildings. When the attendance code is assigned to an action code and attendance checking is enabled in the Discipline Building Setup page, the action code-attendance code combination enables the Student Attendance By Range pop-up window to display after a user enters dates for an action and saves the Offender Action Maintenance page. The user can then review the related attendance information and if needed, exclude certain attendance entries. | Character/5 |

SIF Code | Identifies a code for each table record based on Version 1 of the SIF Implementation Specification. This specification is established by the SIF Association to facilitate sharing of primary and secondary school data among school districts, state departments of education, software vendors, and other relevant agencies. | Character/5 |
