Class Rank Report Page

Use this report to print the rank information for students from the last time the Rank Calculation was run. For more information on the rank calculation, refer to Rank Calculation Page.

The report includes the current and cumulative values for quality points, rank credit, and GPA. Additionally, you can select whether the report includes the rank and class size and the student's percentile, decile, quintile, and/or quartile for the rank. By default, students are sorted in order by the cumulative rank by grade.

If you select to print percentile, decile, quintile, and/or quartile, you can print a summary version of the report which displays the high and low ranges for each grouping within the selected ranking type. For example, the report for decile would show the low GPA and high GPA for decile 1, decile 2, decile 3, and so forth.

Run Class Rank Report

  1. Select Mark Reporting > Entry & Reports > Transcript Reports > Class Rank.
  2. Specify the report options.
  3. Click Run.
  4. Use the Tasks/Reports options on the Navigation bar to view task status and retrieve reports.

Fields

Prompts Panel

Field

Description

Building

Building to include on the rank report.

If you select to print rank for a GPA type that is defined as district-wide in the GPA Setup, the rank report will process all students in the selected grades in any building within the district.

School Year

School year to include on the rank report.

Include Student Grades

Select the grades of the students to include in the rank report.

Select codes from the field's drop-down list, or click

(asterisk) to select all codes, then remove any that do not apply.

Summary Only

Checked if you want to print the summary GPA information for the selected rank options, instead of printing the detail rank information for students. The summary report is created only if you selected to include percentile, decile, quintile, and/or quartile rankings on the report. The summary report lists the low and high GPAs for each grouping within the selected ranking type. For example, the report for decile would show the low GPA and high GPA for decile 1, decile 2, decile 3, and so forth.

Log Statistics

Checked if you want to print the prompts in a log file. Otherwise, a log file will be created only if an error occurs.

GPA Types

Select the checkboxes for the GPA types to include in the rank report.

For GPA types that are issued multiple times a year, you must select the report card run or term in the field that displays to the right of the GPA type description.

Include On Report

Set of boxes to select how student rank information is printed. The following options may display: Rank, Percentile, Decile, Quintile, and Quartile.

The list of options you see will be limited based on the GPA Setups for your district. For example, if your GPA Setups are defined to include rank and decile, then only Rank and Decile options will display.

For each GPA type you select, the report will include only the options that are applicable to the GPA Setup. For example, if you select to print the percentile and decile, but the GPA Setup for the GPA type is defined to display rank and decile, then only decile will print for the GPA type.

Sort Panel

Use the Sort panel to specify how records should be ordered in a report. You enter lines of sort criteria; the system compares your sort criteria against the corresponding fields in the records being searched and displays records in either ascending or descending order based on the sort fields.
