  • The menu options that a user or role can access.

Search Results Panel

This panel displays menu option details for security. The rows display the menu option name and the security resource required to access the option.

To view additional security information for a menu option, click

 (Expand).

Note

When you search on a resource, the search results include any menu option that uses that resource to control access to the menu option or other features within the option. If the resource is used to control access to a specific feature within an option, the Package, Subpackage, and Feature listed for the menu option will not match your search criteria. Click the menu option's

(Expand) icon to view the additional resources.

For example, if you search for REG PRIVATE PASSWORD (HAC Password), the results will include the Addresses and Contacts options with the REG MAINT ADDRESS resource. To grant a user access to view the HAC password, you must grant the user the REG MAINT ADDRESS security as well as the REG PRIVATE PASSWORD resource.

Feature

Summer/Year Dependent

Indicates whether there are separate resources for summer school, prior year, and/or current year access. If Yes displays, there is a separate subpackage folder for the different environments.

For example, for the Scheduling > Student Schedules > Student > Requests option, the page indicates that SCHD MAINT REQUEST (Maintain Current Year Student Course Requests) is required and that the security is dependent on environment. To grant a user security to add requests in the next school year environment, you would need to add SCHD MAINTNY REQUEST (Maintain Next Year Student Course Requests) security for the user.

Building Access Level

Indicates how the menu option determines building access for security.

Building SpecificThe option compares the user's building access for the resource to the building of the selected student, course, or building setup. For example, the Academic page indicates Building Specific access because the option requires the user to have access to the selected student's building.
Any BuildingThe option requires the user to have resource access to at least one building. The option will only allow the user to access buildings assigned for the resource.
All BuildingsThe option requires the user to have access to the resource in all buildings.

Several panels display when you expand the details.
