Changing Page Layout

You can change the page orientation and page margins for the report.

Note: The AR Designer uses a twip measurement to specify page margins and sizes for fields and labels. A twip is a typographical measurement that is equal to 1440 twips per inch. For example, the default page margins are 720 which is equivalent to a 1/2 inch.

Change the Page Orientation

  1. From the menu, select File > Page Setup.
  2. On the Report Settings window, click on the Printer Settings button.
  3. In the Page Orientation group, select the desired page orientation.
  4. Click OK.
Note: When you change the page layout, the template does not adjust fields or labels. For example, if you change the report card template to print as a portrait page, the template page will still be 10 inches wide. Depending on how users have Adobe Reader print options set, you may not need to change the report width. If Adobe Reader is set to Shrink Large Pages and you change a landscape report to use a portrait page, the report will print on one page, but text will shrink to fit on the page.
You can move fields and labels and resize the page so that the data can print on the portrait page without needing to be shrunk when printed.

Change the Page Margins

  1. From the menu, select File > Page Setup.
  2. The application displays the Report Settings window Page Setup options.
  3. Enter the margins that you want to use for the report.
  4. Click OK.
