Use this page to add or change attendance criteria groups. These records include two fields: Criteria Group and Description. Groups are assigned to criteria in the Attendance Criteria Setup Page.
Attendance criteria within the same group will be processed in the order defined in the criteria. Communications can be generated for only one attendance criterion within a group for a specific date and set of absences. However, students can qualify for communications for attendance criteria in other groups for the same absences.
For example, you could have one criteria group to generate letter records and PLUS 360 notifications for students who reach 5 absences and another for students who reach 5 tardies. You also could create separate groups for the following situations:
To generate a behavior incident when a student meets the attendance criteria. The same criteria could be used to create a letter record to notify guardians of the incident.
To evaluate student athletic eligibility. The criteria for determining ineligibility are different from those used to generate attendance communications.
