Scheduling Setup

In order to report the courses to the State correctly, you must define State Course Setup. See the Course Catalog or Course Equivalency Definitions section of this documentation on how to ensure that your Courses are set up properly for this reporting.

State Course Setup

Scheduling > Courses > District Courses > State Courses

You must set up State Course Codes based on Appendix A in the current PIMS manual, Volume 2.  You only need to enter values in the State Code, Description and Active fields. Use the fields listed below for additional characteristics that apply to a course where applicable.

Core Course (Flag 01)This flag indicates the course is considered a Core course by the PDE. If checked, the course will be included in the Staff Student Course submission.
Keystone Course (Flag 02)This flag indicates the course ends in a Keystone assessment.
PSSA Course (Flag 03)This flag indicates the course ends in a PSSA assessment.
Assessment CodeIf applicable, enter the Keystone Assessment Code associated with the state course.
Subtest CodeIf applicable, enter the Keystone Subtest Code associated with the state course.
