Student/Course Download and Run EMIS Submission File Extract

As part of EMIS Change 25-129, a new record, FX, has been added. A Student Reported in Error (FX) Record is reported for a student who has previously been reported in error for the current school year. Reporting a student with this record type is equivalent to reporting the student with an 81 withdrawal reason on a Student Standing (FS) Record.

  • A new download, Student Reported in Error (FX), has been added to the Student/Course Download page.

  • A new extract, Student Reported in Error (FX), will be available on the Run EMIS Submission File Extract page.

Required Collections

The Student Reported in Error (FX) Record is included in the following collections:

  • Beginning of Year, Midyear, and End of Year Student (S) Collections

  • SOES Beginning of Year and End of Year Student (S) Collections

  • Student (S) Cross Reference Collection

Main Data Elements for Student Reported in Error (FX) Record

  • District IRN (FX040): The six-digit state-assigned Information Retrieval Number (IRN) for the district.

  • State Student ID (SSID) Reported in Error (FX050): The unique nine-character state-assigned identifier for a student reported in error for the fiscal year.

Unique Record Definition (FX050)

Each EMIS record must have specific, unique fields for data reporting. For the Student Reported in Error (FX) Record, the FX050 field must be unique for each row submitted.

As part of the EMIS Change 25-61, a new program code and description have been added to the Programs validation table.
