Mark Reporting Setup

Course Equivalency Setup

Menu pathFrom the Administration menu, choose Mark Reporting Setup, choose Calculation Setup, and then select Course Equivalency Setup.

For each building that offers courses that will be included in the Teacher – Course submission, you must create a Course Equivalency Setup record.

You should have the following values in these fields. All other fields should be blank.

When you go to the Course Equivalency Setup screen, click on the appropriate building to create the record.

Check Use Full Year Courses.

Course Retake Rule

Select R – Use Most Recent Mark in State Course. This field will not be used in New York but must have a value.

RC Data Warehouse Information

Select R – Use Regular Courses only to Calculate.

TRN Data Warehouse Information

Select R – Use Regular Courses only to Calculate.

Assign Course Credit Calculation

Select R – Use Regular Courses only to Calculate.

Course Equivalency Definition

Menu pathFrom the Administration menu, choose Mark Reporting Setup, choose Calculation Setup, and then select Course Equivalency Definitions.

Use this option to associate one State Course Code with several courses in a building. Optionally, you may update the State Course for courses individually on the Course Catalog page.

Select the Building, select the State Code and then in the 1-Part Courses section of the page, select/enter the courses that should be associated with this particular State Code. Select 'No' for the Needs Recalculation field.

PowerSchool has loaded State Courses into eSchoolPlus for you. If the State has added a State Course Code and we have not updated your system yet, you may enter the new code here. You only need to enter the State Code, Description, and check the Active flag. All of the other fields will not be used for New York State Reporting.

Mark Types

Menu pathFrom the Administration menu, choose Mark Reporting Setup, choose Setup, and then select Mark Types.

The elementary buildings must have the Mark Type as FG (Student Grade Detail state reporting code) from the Administration, Mark Reporting Setup, and Mark Types pages. This mark type was also used in prior years to download the STUCLGRADE (Student Class Grade Detail) recordsIf the mark type is blank, a mark of P will be posted.

Follow these steps to download the STUCLGRADE (Student Class Grade Detail) records:

  1. Add the mark type of FG in the Mark Types setup.

  2. Mass Load the mark type to all elementary building courses that must be reported.

  3. Run the Scheduling/RC Synchronization (menu path: from the Mark Reporting menu, choose Utilities, choose Build Report Card Data, and then select Scheduling/RC Synchronization.)

  4. Run the download.
