Mark Reporting Setup

On this page:

You need to set up a Non-weighted GPA Type for State Reporting. You also need to set up State Course Codes for your District for use in the HSSC Report for the Course Indicator fields.

State Course Setup

Scheduling > Courses > District Courses > State Courses

The State Code field is used to report the SCED course number for the Maryland Course Catalog (MCC) Report. You may enter these into the system or use the Run Upload (Administration > Utilities > Download & Upload > Run Upload) and Run Download (Administration > Utilities > Download & Upload > Run Upload) utilities. You only need to enter values in the State Code, Description and Active fields. Refer to the MCC Guide provided by the state for a list of all applicable SCED State Codes.

Mark Reporting Building Setups

To report the Foreign Language, Math, Science and Advanced Technology Education Course Indicators in the HSSC Report correctly, you must set up State Course Setup and Course Equivalencies. Finally, see the Course Catalog section of this documentation on how to ensure that your Courses are set up properly for this reporting.

Level Tables

Administration > Mark Reporting Setup > Setup > Level Table

For each building that offers Foreign Language, Mathematics, Science and Approved Advanced Technology Education courses, you must setup your Non-Weighted Level table to have the following point values: A=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; F=0.

Course Equivalency Setup

Administration > Mark Reporting Setup > Calculation Setup > Course Equivalency Setup

For each building that offers Foreign Language, Mathematics, Science and Approved Advanced Technology Education courses, you must create a Course Equivalency Setup record.

You should have the following values in these fields. All other fields should be blank.

Use this option to associate one State Course Code with several courses in a building. Optionally, you may update the State Course for courses individually on the Course Catalog page.

Select the Building, select the State Code and then in the Full Year Course section of the screen, select/enter the courses that should be associated with this particular State Code.

Calendar Setup for Maryland State Reporting

Administration > Registration Setup > Calendars > Calendar

Because of State Reporting requirements regarding withdrawal dates and attendance, the last day of school in each Calendar for each building must be the day after the last day of school. Make sure that for this date, the Membership Day, Attendance Day and Include in Totals checkboxes are all unchecked.
