Installation Tab
This tab allows you to enter and update information about your system that is needed in order to create configuration files for your PowerSchool products.
MTSProcess account related fields have been added to the Installation tab. These fields are required.
- Domain – The domain the MTSProcess account is in
- Password – The password for the MTSProcess account
- Confirm – Must match what is entered in the Password field
Fields
This window is divided into multiple sections.
Note: Fields in the DCU have been rearranged on the Installation tab to accommodate the new MTSProcess Account fields.
Installation Directories
Note: When a Virtual Directory field displays next to an Installation Directory field, the Virtual Directory is required if you enter the Installation Directory path in the field (except for eSchoolPLUS).
Field | Description |

eSchoolPLUS Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where eSchoolPLUS is installed at your district. |
TAC Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where Teacher Access Center is installed at your district. If an Installation Directory is present in this field, the corresponding Virtual Directory is required. |
Home Access Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where Home Access Center is installed at your district. If an Installation Directory is present in this field, the corresponding Virtual Directory is required. |
Whiteboard Distribution Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where Whiteboard is distributed from at your district. |
EO Admin Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the Administrator module of Enrollment Online is installed at your district. If an Installation Directory is present in this field, the corresponding Virtual Directory is required. |
EO Registrar Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the Registrar module of Enrollment Online is installed at your district. If an Installation Directory is present in this field, the corresponding Virtual Directory is required. |
EO Parent Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the Parent module of Enrollment Online is installed at your district. If an Installation Directory is present in this field, the corresponding Virtual Directory is required. |
EO Email Notif. Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the Email Notification subsystem of Enrollment Online is installed at your district. |
Web Services Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the PowerSchool web services subsystem is installed at your district. |
Mobile Conn. Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the PowerSchool Mobile Connector is installed at your district. |
K-12 Auth. Prov. Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the PowerSchool K-12 Authentication Provider is installed at your district. |
eSP API Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the PowerSchool eSchoolPLUS Web API is installed at your district. |
PLUS 360 API Installation Directory | Enter or browse to the directory where the PLUS 360 Web API is installed at your district. |
Virtual Directory Fields | Select the name of the Virtual Directory for the corresponding Installation Directory. If an Installation Directory is present, the corresponding Virtual Directory is required; however, it is not required for eSchoolPLUS. |
Hosting Settings
Field | Description |
---|---|
Hosting | Checked if you are running PowerSchool products in a hosted environment. |
Use Groups | Checked if your organization uses Active Directory groups for filtering the list of databases seen by users when running in a hosted environment. |
Hosting Site Code | In the District List entries, the Site Code is the customer site code used by PowerSchool; the Sub Site is a smaller breakdown that is given to the district by either PowerSchool or the direct customer of PowerSchool. Select from Site Code, Sub Site, or N/A to indicate which should be used in the individual application configuration files so the applications can properly determine which databases to show to the user that logged in to the application. |
Whiteboard Security | For hosted districts, select how Whiteboard will authenticate users. The options include: Use Hosting Site Code Setting – Login ID that is used to connect to the PC running Whiteboard is the same login ID used to access eSchoolPLUS. |
Environment Settings
In 4.1, the Web Services Address field and Home Access URL field have been moved to the Integrations Tab - General Sub-Tab.

64-Bit Operating System | Checked if your district is running any PowerSchool applications on a server with a 64-bit operating system. |
Support Account Name | Enter the login ID for PowerSchoolsupport at your district. |
Database User
Field | Description |
---|---|
Login ID | If the eSchoolPLUS installation uses SQL Server authentication when connecting to the database using the ODBC connection, enter the SQL Server account to use. All databases configured on the District List tab will use this SQL Server account when an ODBC connection is used for accessing the database. If Windows Authentication is used by the ODBC connection, leave this field and the Database Password field blank. |
Password | Enter the password for the SQL Server account specified in the Database User field. If Windows Authentication is used by the ODBC connection, leave this field blank. |
Confirm | Re-enter the password for the SQL Server account. If Windows Authentication is used by the ODBC connection, leave this field blank. |
MTSProcess Account
Note: These fields are required.
Field | Description |
