CALPADS Assessments Import
Regulatory > CALPADS > Utilities > CALPADS Assessments Import
The CALPADS Assessments Import lets you update eSchoolPlus tables with student test data from the CALPADS Individual Student Assessment Profile Extract file, which is a comma-separated value file (.csv). This section provides the procedure for running the import and mapping information showing how the fields from the extract file get imported into eSchoolPlus.
To import CALPADS Individual Student Assessment Profile Extract records from the .csv file into eSchoolPlus:
- Select Regulatory > CALPADS > Utilities > CALPADS Assessments Import.
- In the File field, use the Upload Records button to locate and select the directory path and file for the .csv file containing the CALPADS Individual Student Assessment Profile Extract records.
- Select the Test Code, Test Level, and Test Form the import will use for updating student test records for each of the applicable test types, CAHSEE, CELDT, and STAR.
- The import only processes records for a particular test if you specify the Test-Level-Form combination. You do not need to process all three test types at the same time.
- You do need to assign at least one Test-Level-Form to run the import.
- In the Run Mode field, either select Verify upload data to have the utility generate an error log without importing data, or choose Run Import to have the utility update eSchoolPlus based on your processing criteria.
- To have the utility insert new records from the .csv file, check the Insert New Records box. Leave the box unchecked if the import should not perform an insert.
- Indicate how the import will handle cases where it finds that a record from the .csv file already exists in eSchoolPlus:
- To have the import replace existing records with data from the .csv file, check the Update Existing Records box.
- To have the import preserve existing data and only update blank fields for those existing records, check the Only Update Blank Fields box. This takes precedence if you have this box checked in addition to Update Existing Records.
- Use the Run Option radio button set to determine when the utility should run.
- Click Run.
