Verified Credit Calculation
Regulatory > Virginia > Other > Verified Credits Calculation
Prerequisites
- Verify that the Verified Credit State Code fields on the VA Course Information page matches the State Code Equiv fields on the Test Definition page for all students.
- Verify that attempted credits is > 0.
- Verify that the Course Credit Calculation utility (Mark Reporting > Utilities > Calculations > Course Credit Calculation) has been run. If this is not completed before running the Verified Credit, no credit will be issued for courses that haven't had earned credit.
Processing
Field | Description |

Building | Enter the building that you are creating the Verified Credits calculation for. |
School Year | Enter the school year that you are creating the Verified Credits calculation for. |
Calculation Type | Select whether to calculate only new verified credits, or to calculate ALL verified credits (recalculates current values). |
Logging | Select whether to log all activity for the current run, or to log only errors. |
Task/Report Name | Create a name for the current run. |

Field | Description |

School Year | The school year for each course. |
Building | The building where the course was taken. |
Course | The course number. |
Description | The name of the course. |
Attempted Credit | The amount of credit attempted by the student. |
Earned Credit | The amount of credit the student earned. Earned Credit must be > 0 for Verified Credit to be awarded. |
Verified Credit | The amount of Verified Credit earned by the student. |
Test Score/Course Code | This is the number from the VA Course Information page for the Verified Credit State Code field and from the Test Definition page for the State Code Equiv field. |
Test Attempts | The number of times the student has a test score that matches the State Code Equiv. |
