In Virginia, the Entry/Withdrawal page has an absolutely linked Program-tracked field—Dropout Reason Code. This field will default to 00-Not Withdrawn/Not a Dropout. If a student drops out or is withdrawn from school with a W880 Withdrawal Code, then you need to select the correct W8 Dropout Reason Code for the Student Record Collection submission.

• If the Dropout Reason Code = 41, student must be in Grade = PK, JK, or K
• If the Dropout Reason Code = 42, student must be in Grade = PK

For students who are returning for SOL testing, enter a grade with a State Code Equiv of TT - TT.
