eSchoolPlus 24.10.0.0 Release

New Feature

The release includes a feature update for the SSO integration into Enrollment from HAC and eSchoolPlus.

Feature

Description

Enrollment SSO Integration

This release introduces the feature of SSO into Enrollment from HAC to capture error conditions if the district’s database guide information changes. This change can occur when a district moves databases to a new server.

  • When a HAC user signs into Enrollment via the SSO option, they are linked to their account using the Database Unique ID and their identifiable information. If the Database Unique ID changes, Enrollment will create a new user account on their end rather than linking them to their pre-existing account.

  • This can result in issues where the user cannot see their previously worked forms.

A new feature is introduced so that:

  • HAC: Will now track what the last Unique ID to access the SSO option was. If it detects the Unique ID changed, the Update Enrollment page will display an error message, preventing users from using the SSO option until the Unique ID conflict is resolved.

  • eSP: The District page will also display an error on the Integration Panel. For district personnel, the message is just informational, but for Support users, it contains instructions on resolving the issue. A customer cannot resolve this issue on their own as the eSchoolPlus and Enrollment support teams must communicate to determine what the correct unique ID is.

  • If it is determined the new Unique ID it is trying to use is correct, an eSchoolPlus support member can select Synchronize Unique ID from the Enrollment Integration panel drop-down list.

  • If it is determined that the old Unique ID value is correct, the DCUs on the servers will need to be updated with the appropriate value.

  • After the conflict is resolved, the error message should be removed from both applications.

The Classwork Averages Report required the security resource ATT-REPORTS-RUNRPT to run. This requirement has been removed and is no longer required for running the report.

The Scheduling Synchronization page would allow the Log File Name to contain invalid file name characters which caused the task to fail. Added front-end validation that will prevent the task from being scheduled with an invalid log file name provided.

TAC Student Competency List

If a large number of marks or comments existed, the list displayed the competency information below the students instead of next to them. This has been resolved.
