Cycle Days Page

On this page:

Use this page to set up your building's cycle days; for example, you could use M,T,W,R,F or A, B. Cycle days affect attendance and scheduling. You can also set up alternate cycle days for days that differ from a normal cycle day, such as an early dismissal day.

In addition to standard days, you also define an alternate cycle day for each type of shortened or atypical day in the calendar.

AreaHow cycle days affect the area
Calendars

The system builds calendar days based on the normal cycle days you have set up. During the calendar build, you indicate how many days are included in the normal cycle and the starting cycle day.

In the Calendar Day Detail page, you can then change a day, such as changing the day to a holiday, non-membership day or late start alternate cycle day.

SchedulingIn the Timetable page in Scheduling, you indicate the timeslots and periods that meet on each cycle day. The Master Schedule for each course-section indicates the cycle days and periods the course meets.
Attendance and Alternate Cycle Days

Attendance can only be taken for the periods that meet on the specified cycle day or alternate cycle day.

Alternate cycle days are used when a building holds a shortened day or the day includes periods from multiple days. For example, alternate cycle days could be used for late start, early dismissal, or exam days.
