Contact Mass Update Page

Use the Contact Mass Update Page to mass update data for selected contacts. This option allows updates to Contacts, Student/Contact Relationships, and Contact Phones records for guardians, emergency contacts, and other contacts. It does not provide options to update student mailing or physical address records.

Caution

Once you complete a mass update, there is no way to undo your changes unless the previous data was backed up.

Back up your database tables before running a mass update. You can restore data from the backup if you are not satisfied with the mass update results.

Mass update contacts information

  1. Select Registration > Utilities > Mass Update > Contacts Mass Update.
  2. On the Prompts panel, specify which contact information will be updated.
    For security reasons, do not mass update Login ID or Web Password.
  3. On the Filter panel, select which contacts will receive the updated information.
  4. Click Load to display the selected contacts.
  5. Review the contacts list on the Records To Be Updated panel.
    • To refine the search, repeat Steps 3-4.
    • To delete individual contacts from the list, enter a check in
       (Delete) column of each contact to be removed, and then click
       (Delete) on the Records To Be Updated panel's header.
  6. On the Run panel, select to run the update now, or click Once and enter the Time and Date.
  7. Click Run.

Use the Tasks/Reports options on the Navigation bar to view task status and retrieve reports.

Add

Adds a blank row above the current row.

 (Delete)

Deletes the current row.

Area

Select the type of data to update: Contact Phones, Contacts, or Student/Contact Relationships.

Field Name

Select the field being updated.

New Value

Enter the value to assign to the selected field.

Caution

For security reasons, do not mass update Login ID or Web Password.

Records To Be Updated Panel

This panel lists the contacts whose records will be updated. To delete a contact from this list, enter a check in the

 (Delete) column of each contact you wish to remove from the update list, and then click
 (Delete) on the Records To Be Updated panel's header.
