Task Log Messages

This page is a utility to help you make better use of the log files generated by certain tasks.

  • You can filter your results so you can work with a specific set of error messages.
  • You can sort errors to help you quickly see all errors for an individual student or all records that have the same error message.
  • You can save the errors to an Excel file.

The task logs you can access are determined by the state reporting needs of your district.

To Review Log Messages

  1. Select Regulatory > Utilities > View Task Log.
  2. Select the log file you want to view by selecting the user who ran the task, the name of the task, and the date and time that the task was run.
  3. If you want to filter the log messages, use the Filter fields.
  4. If you want to sort the log messages, use the Sort fields.
  5. To display the messages for the selected task log, click Load. The fields that display are based on the task that you selected.
  6. If multiple pages of messages are returned, use the Next and Previous buttons to navigate through messages.
  7. Click Export to Excel to create an Excel file. You may open or save the file.

To Delete Log Messages for a Task

  1. Select Regulatory > Utilities > Delete Task Logs.
  2. Select the number of days you wish to include in the removal of the task logs. The default is to remove all task logs older than 30 days.
  3. Select the log file you want to view by selecting the user who ran the task, the name of the task, and the date and time that the task was run.
  4. Check the boxes for the types of task logs you wish to remove.
  5. Click Run.
