System Setup

District Configuration

For successful New York State Reporting, make sure that you set the following on your District Configuration:

  • Make sure that your District's state number is in the State Equivalent Code field on the District Definition page (Administration > General Setup > District > District).
  • You must Require Disability Dates on the District Definition page (Administration > General Setup > District > District) so that Special Education student disabilities are reported properly in the Programs Fact template.
  • You may want to have the Race Required field set to Yes so that at the time of entry, the Race is entered. If you do not do this, make sure that you update the student's Personal page with his/her Race prior to creating State submission files.
  • You may want to check the Home Language Required field on the Preferences panel. The Home Language is required for ELL and Immigrant students.
