Eighth Technological Literacy

Select if the student has met the 8th grade technological proficiency criteria per NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards 8.1. To meet this proficiency, the student either needs to take a district-level assessment or an evaluation as guided by NJ Technology Assessment for Proficiency and Integration.

Student's resident municipality as defined by the NJ Department of the Treasury.

Immigrant Status

Indicator showing whether the student is categorized as an immigrant. To be classified as an "immigrant child or youth" based on NCLB law, the student needs to meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 3 through 21.
  • Not born in the United States.
  • Not attending one or more schools in the United States for more then 3 full academic years.

Alternative Education

Indicator showing whether the student is enrolled in an alternative education program, defined as a comprehensive educational program delivered in a non-traditional learning environment that is both:

  • Distinct and separate from the existing general or special education program.
  • Designed to meet the needs of students at risk of school failure for their primary academic program.

  • ELL - Student attends a specialized program for English Language Learners in a school that is not his/her resident school within his/her resident school district.
  • ALTREC - Student attends an alternative education program or a recovery high school program in a school that is not his/her resident school within his/her resident school district.
  • ADULT - Student attends an adult high school for students pursuing a locally-issued, state-endorsed diploma in a school that is not his/her resident school within his/her resident school district.
  • OTHER - Student attends a school that is not his/her resident school within his/her resident school district for any other reason.

The World Language Assessments are:

As students may have taken more than one World Language Assessed, this element is a repeatable element and will appear in the portal as: WorldLanguagesAssessed1, WorldLanguagesAssessed2, WorldLanguagesAssessed3, WorldLanguagesAssessed4, WorldLanguagesAssessed5. The file submitted to SID Management must also be submitted this way. This field should not be left blank, if applicable.

Select if the student plans to or is currently participating in the Bridge Year Pilot Program established under P.L. 2020 c.41, under which each school district with a high school shall offer students in the graduating class of 2021 and the graduating class of 2022 the opportunity to pursue a bridge year during the year immediately following their senior year of high school.

  • C - Student has completed, or is no longer participating in, the bridge year program.
  • P - Student has expressed intent to participate in the bridge year program in the following school year.
  • Y - Student is pursuing a bridge year during the current school year.
  • N - Student is not currently participating and has not expressed intent to participate in the bridge year program.

Select if a student has met the federal requirement to take Algebra I (or one of the following exceptions) while in high school.

  • A - Student registered for and/or took the Algebra I assessment in high school.
  • B - Student registered for and/or took the DLM assessment in high school.
  • C - Student took Algebra I in middle school and registered for and/or took the Geometry assessment in high school.
  • D - Student took Algebra I in middle school and registered for and/or took the Algebra II assessment in high school.
  • E - Student took Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II in middle school and took a more-advanced mathematics assessment in high school.
  • F - Student entered a New Jersey public school after 9th grade and took the equivalent of Algebra I in another state or at a non-public school.
  • G - Student did not register for and/or take the Algebra I assessment in high school and does not fall under one of the exceptions listed above in B through F.

Select if the Individualized Education Program (IEP) of a student with a disability contains an exemption or modification to the state course requirement component of NJDOE graduation requirements.

  • 1 - The student has an exemption or modification to course requirements.
  • 2 - The student does not have an exemption or modification to course requirements.

Select if the Individualized Education Program (IEP) of a student with a disability contains an exemption or modification to the local attendance requirement component of NJDOE graduation requirements.

  • 1 - The student has an exemption or modification to local attendance requirements.
  • 2 - The student does not have an exemption or modification to local attendance requirements.
