Staff Data for MI State Reporting

For the Teacher Student Data Linking submission, most teachers need to have a Personal Identification Code (PIC) in the State Staff ID field on the Staff District Information page. (Scheduling > Courses > Resources > Staff)

You do not need a PIC for the staff member for State-approved CTE courses and for dual enrollment courses taught by a college instructor.

The TSDL collection will include up to three PIC numbers for teachers assigned to a course based on the staff date tracking records. The SDS Download and Submission File utilities report up to three PIC numbers starting from the most recent staff course start date and working backward in time. Primary staff records are processed first and then the secondary staff until the three teacher limit is reached. If the staff date tracking records are missing, the primary and secondary staff information will be submitted.
