General File Processing

This section of the documentation reviews the basic process for creating state files. The sections that follow provide detailed procedures for the collections.

Generally, the process that you will follow for creating collection files is:

1. Run SDS Download for a submission with the Run Download, Scan for Setup Errors and Scan for Data Errors checkboxes checked.
2. Review error log and fix data as necessary.
3. View data using Student Download Summary.
4. Repeat Steps 1-3 until no errors are encountered.
5. Run SDS Submission File.
6. Submit the data files to the state.
